Simple Beauty: Fall Edition
How to Make the Most of Fall
It’s my favorite time of year… pumpkin everything, smokey eyes and sultry lips! Of course, you should know by now that I’m going to recommend that every new season start with an updated skincare regimen. Your skin will most likely need more hydration now that the humidity is coming to an end. Don’t stop with your face! Stay hydrated from head to toe. Masks are our friends and make significant difference in skin texture, clarity and radiance. Recently, at a beauty convention, I was introduced to Global Xtracts Phytocannabinoid-Rich Hemp Oil Face Mask. CBD Skincare is the latest craze in the industry and let me just say WOW!
Fresh, even, moisturized skin is “in” any time of year. For a Fall update, try taking a bit of your favorite foundation and mix it with a heavier moisturizer for the seasonal climate change. You can adjust the ration for the amount of coverage you’d like on any given day. This is also a great solution as your sun-kissed skin fades. Make sure to keep wearing that SPF! Just because you’re not laying out worshiping the sun doesn’t mean you’re not exposed to its damaging rays. Even a drive from A to B can interrupt your ageless skin ambition if not protected.
Remember, smelling good is timeless. Don’t forget to apply your perfume in all the right places. Fragrance impacts the way we carry ourselves, the mood we’re in and the way we feel on any given day. My personal favorite for the fall is Tom Ford’s Lavender Extreme and my all-season signature scent, “Lipstick On” by Maison Margiela.
5 Runway Makeup Trends… Translated
1. You can’t go wrong with diffused, wine-stained lip
2. Master the Smokey eye
3. Think “Twiggy” (inspired lashes are in)
4. Figure out a way to make your eyes stand out with a pop of pink shadow
5. Master the graphic eyeliner (the right product, like Stila’s all day liquid eyeliner, is key)http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/3244818
When seasons change do you feel the need to get the 1st available appointment with your stylist like I do? We should be thrilled fellow mamas, because this fall’s hair trend is low maintenance! It’s all about the roots, whether brown, blonde or red. Nail trends can also be quite simple this fall, try grey, nude or even Navy blue. Embrace the simplicity.
